We had a great couple of days shooting for a new vacuum cleaner that will be coming to the UK market this year. On day one, we focused on taking photos of the product at Big G Studios. Who knew fishing wire could be used to hold up a vacuum cleaner?
Day two of shooting was slightly different with two models and an Airbnb thrown into the mix. We wanted to capture how the vacuum cleaner would be used in real-life scenarios such as cleaning your living room, the kitchen and those hard-to-reach corners of the ceiling and doorframes. We had a lot of fun setting up for these scenarios and you can see some of the behind-the-scenes here!
Another really exciting project that we’ve been working on is with Curwen Print Study Centre. In case you missed it, we are working with the wonderful traditional printing centre to produce some content for their online presence. Dan, Matt and Jordan had a great time exploring not just the presses, but also the beautiful grounds that Curwen sits on. The team at Curwen were a delight to interview and it was a great opportunity to learn more about the art.
Matt went back to The Marketing Meetup for another evening of mingling with other marketeers. It was an incredible experience learning about new ways we can use AI in a sustainable way. With AI now becoming part of our everyday lives, there is still the question of how we can use it ethically and effectively to avoid contributing further to the climate crisis. Siok Siok Tan did a brilliant job of sharing these practical methods - if you haven’t already, check out her book AI for Humanity here.
I attended my first networking event with Define Creative, but it was slightly different to the usual set-up. I had never attended a virtual networking event but it was fun moving from table to table and meeting new people. There was a great mix of attendees, ranging from people who worked in the healthcare space to other fellow creatives. Will definitely be signing up to the next!
Our featured project this month is the brilliant work we did with HAGS for their new playground in Aberdeen. It was a really enriching experience capturing the excitement and glee of the community enjoying the new installation.
You can find out more about the project here.
Episode 5 of the Memory Lanes podcast is now live! This time with Carlo Stocchetti of Bridges Group.
“Carlo reflects on his unconventional path and offers a fresh perspective on homes, believing they are meant to be lived in for a while and then passed on to others to enjoy. Tune in for a story of resilience, transformation, and rebuilding.”
You can listen to the episode here.
This month we had so much going on that it was hard to select just a few!
If you've made it this far thank you, we hope you enjoyed what has been quite a hectic month for the team here at De·fine Creative. We're excited to join you in next month's newsletter.
