To support their international marketing efforts, Berkeley via their PR Partner The Oracle Group commissioned Define Creative to produce a bilingual case study video capturing the real-life story of Wayne and Lena, a couple who relocated from Hong Kong to the UK. Shot in both English and Cantonese, the film was designed to connect with overseas buyers and was featured at the International Immigration & Property EXPO in Hong Kong.

Challenge
Berkeley needed a compelling case study video to showcase a real homeowner story for an international audience. The brief involved filming with Wayne and Lena, a couple who had relocated from Hong Kong to the UK. A unique requirement was to produce two versions of the video—one in English and one in Cantonese—for use at the International Immigration & Property EXPO in Hong Kong. This meant filming the interview twice and translating the Cantonese dialogue back to English in order to accurately align the b-roll with the narrative.
Solution
We carefully planned the shoot to capture both English and Cantonese interviews in a seamless session, maintaining a natural flow while being mindful of the couple’s comfort and authenticity. Post-production involved close collaboration with a translator to ensure the Cantonese edit mirrored the storytelling of the English version. The result was two polished, culturally-sensitive videos that effectively communicated Berkeley’s message and resonated with both local and international audiences. The videos were successfully showcased at the EXPO and continue to support Berkeley’s global marketing efforts.
